Room Hire at Armadale Community Family Centre

The Armadale Community Family Centre offers affordable room hire to support individuals, families, and community groups. Our spaces are perfect for kids’ parties, workshops, meetings, and group activities. We aim to provide a warm, safe, and practical environment for all kinds of gatherings.

Our Facilities

We have a variety of rooms to suit your needs:

  • Two large activity rooms, each with:

    • Covered verandah

    • Fenced outdoor play area with a sandpit and play equipment

    • Toilet and kitchenette

    • Access to the main kitchen

  • One small meeting room, ideal for 2–3 people, with:

    • Carpeted space

    • Computer with internet (for Centre clients)

    • Access to the main kitchen

  • All rooms include:

    • Air-conditioning and heating

    • Tables and chairs (adult and child-sized)

    • Whiteboard (available on request)

    • Access to a shared kitchen with a fridge, oven, microwave, and instant hot water boiler

Room Hire Rates

(Effective from 30 May 2025 – All prices include GST)

Private, Business & Government Use
(e.g. kids’ parties, private playgroups)

  • Activity Room 1 – $30/hour

  • Activity Room 2 – $30/hour

  • She Shed – $30/hour

  • Meeting Room – $15/hour

Community & Non-Profit Groups
(e.g. church groups, support groups)

  • Activity Room 1 – $25/hour

  • Activity Room 2 – $25/hour

  • She Shed – $25/hour

  • Meeting Room – $12/hour

Bond Payments

  • Security Bond: $150

  • Key Bond: $50

How to Book a Room

To check availability or make a booking:

After booking, please come in during the week of your event (Monday–Friday, 9:00 am – 2:30 pm) to:

  • Submit your Room Hire Application Form (or fill one out onsite)

  • Pay your $200 refundable bond

  • Pay the room hire fee ( please refer to the above rate list)

We’ll then provide you with the key and all necessary hire details.

If You Can’t Come During Business Hours

  • You may send a family member or friend to pay and collect the key on your behalf.

  • Or, you can contact us to arrange an earlier collection.

Your Responsibilities as the Hirer

Please ensure that:

  • The room is cleaned after use

  • All decorations you’ve added are removed

  • Furniture is returned to its original position

  • Any damage or mess present when you arrive is photographed and reported to:

Getting Your Bond Back

  • Bonds can be collected during business hours.

  • If you paid by bank transfer, please allow a few days for the refund to appear in your account.
