What’s on at Armadale Community Family Centre        Term 4 2019

Come along and try out a course or group…. don’t see anything you like?  We are always looking for new suggestions.  Come in and chat to a staff member and we’ll see what we can organise.



9:30- 11:30am.

Cost: Free and bring a piece of fruit for morning tea.

This is a supportive, relaxed and friendly group for parents with young children. Through playful craft and activities you will learn how to encourage development in your child supported by experienced play leaders. Language based activities and guest speakers will be scheduled.

Suitable for 0-5 years.


12:30- 2:30Pm.

Cost: Free


Feel like helping the community? Come along and help make Boomerang bags. We have everything you need to make them. They are to use when you shop rather than having to purchase your plastic bags when you shop.

This is a supportive, relaxed and friendly group for parents with young children. Children grow and develop through playful craft and activities run by an experienced play leader. Stories and songs, laughter and friendships are to be had here.

Suitable for 0-5 years.


9:00am – 12noon.

Cost: $5 per session. Includes Cuppa and Morning Tea.

Enjoy the art of traditional and contemporary patchwork. Meets weekly and has gentle guidance for those if required.



Cost: Gold coin donation.

Come and join this lovely group of people and have some fun being creative with mosaic work. It is amazing what beautiful things you can make with some broken tiles and lots of imagination.



9:00am- 12noon.

Cost: Gold coin donation.

Come and receive some friendly instruction on knitting or crochet and have a nice chat at the same time.. You just need to bring a ball of 8 ply yarn and some 4mm needles or crochet hook.


6:15 – 7:45pm

Cost: $8 per session 

Join in with others to help de-stress and exercise the mind and body.



9:30- 11:30am.

Cost: Free 

This group supporting parents of children with disabilities needs once a week, to share their parenting journey and learn strategies to support their child to play, develop and reach their full potential. Your child is welcome to this group as we have activities for young ones led by en experienced Playgroup leader.



Cost: Gold coin donation.

Self run group with a helping hand if needed. Come along and make something creative with material. Finish off that project that you don’t seem to be able to find the time to do. Sewing machines available for use.


Book in for 1/2 hour block.  Gold coin donation

We have computers that you can use. We are here to offer guidance if needed.

Black & white printing – 10c per A4 copy, colour 20c per A4 copy.




Cost: $5 per session creche is included for 2 children extra child $5 per child.

Come and spend some quality time with other people and have a go at some sort of craft or just relax and enjoy some company.  We have a creche for your little ones if you need it right in the next room. Morning tea included.


10am – 2pm.

Located in the large green shed with easy access from the carpark.  Come and have a look around. It’s a great way to save money on kids toys. $75 per family per year with up to 3 items to be borrowed at a time for up to 2 weeks at a time.

Sometimes it can be daunting when looking at official documents. Where to start? What does that mean?

Give us a call and arrange a time and we will help you work your way through them.         

Grow Free and Urban Pantry  

Take what you need, give what you can. Join in with a perpetual sharing cart for home produce, preserves and the like, provided by Grow Free. Love grows by giving. 

The Urban Pantry is things for your pantry than you can either donate or take, which ever suits you.
